Advert for Resumed Heritage Walk - Causeyside St Paisley

Announcing the return of our Heritage Walks in Renfrewshire! It has taken a while, and we are starting on a montly basis to see how things go between September and November 2026 before launching our 2027 programme.

Our first heritage walk will be on Sunday 20th September at 1.30pm on Causeyside Street – The walk is part of our Paisley now & then series. Click the image to the left to find out more!

About Us

The Urban Historian

The Urban Historian is Stephen, a local historian with an archaeology and genealogy background.

Having taught local archaeology & history classes at the University of the West Scotland for many years, Stephen went freelance delivering heritage walks & talks and has advised Renfrewshire Council, Renfrewshire Tapestry and others on matters of local heritage.

Stephen’s research interests include the earcly church sites of Renfrewshire, linen thread manufacturing in Scotland and recording heritage graveyards.
