Starting on Sunday 6th December we will be holding our monthly history cafe sessions in Renfrew Trinity Church Halls as part of the 2nd Renfrew Scouts Memories Cafe. The topic for our first session will be Early Renfrew and it’s Castles. Our session will start at 3pm and conclude at 3.45pm. Why not come along at 2.30 for a hot drink before the talk, and explore some of the Scouts Archives.
The 2nd Renfrew Trinty Scouts run montly Memories Cafés in Renfrew Trinity Church Halls for everyone in the community. This includes Scouts, former Scouts, and anyone with a Scout connection, especially those with dementia and their carers. The archive is used as a talking point to bring back memories. If you have no Scout connection, you are also welcome to visit us to see our archive, have a cuppa and a chat, as our history is closely linked to Renfrew’s history.
The quarterly history talks led by the Urban Historian will generally run between 3 and 3.45pm on the 1st Sunday of March, June, September & December, beginning in December 2026.
The Memories Cafe it’s self runs on the first Sunday of the Month between 2.30 & 4.30pm. There’s no cost for the Cafe, it’s a donation. We’re a community event, which is also dementia friendly, so there’s no reason not to drop in. We look forward to seeing you.
There is no need to book – the history cafe session is free, and donations towards the Memories Cafe are welcome for your hot drinks and Danish Pastries!
